My LAB culture froze recently. I imagine it would compromise the cultures, but maybe I stand to be corrected? Anyone had any experience with this happening?

Growtulsa, I saw this from a gov study: Based on the acid resistance data, selected cultures were tested for long-term survival in a simulated acidified refrigerated cucumber product. We found that one of the most acid resistant strains (Lactobacillus casei) could survive for up to 63 DAYS at 4 ยฐC/39F without significant loss of viability at 108 CFU/mL. These data may aid in the development of commercial probiotic refrigerated pickle products. Do lactic acid bacteria survive freezing? Thermophilic lactic acid bacteria exhibit different survival rates during freezing and frozen storage, depending on the processing conditions. … bulgaricus to freezing and frozen storage. The resistance was evaluated by quantifying the decrease of acidification activity during freezing and throughout 8 weeks of storage. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27984668/ -Jay
