  1. Greetings a humble knf novice here
  2. by chance has anyone tried testing the ph on your diluted inputs before feeding the soil I tested mine and found out it was very acidic in the 4.4 ph range is this ok to apply to the soil

Lime would kill your biology, but it isn’t necessary because at 1:500, FPJ should barely effect your pH reading. Something else might be going on.

i could see how the inputs them self r high in acid after the fermentation but when u add them at a 1:1000 or 1:500 mix with water i dont think its gonna lower the PH that bad to bring it down from a base 7 to 4 is a lot of acid i feed my blueberrys a highly acidic water about a 4 but i useΒ  2-3 cups (16-24oz) of unused coffee to 1 gal of water i would think u should test your base water PH and see where u r starting u may need to add something to your water to raise the PH back up to 7

Thanks for the reply my water starts about ph 6.6 to 6.8 but after I add LAB and FPJ at 1-1000 ratio it drops drastically to the ph 4 range I was a hydrophonic guy trying Organics now and I’ve never seen such a drop in ph like this – also I’ve read that adding ph adjustment solutions (ph up/down) it potentially harms the microbes is this true?

i have never checked the PH of my water mix b4 i will have to test it now to see ….. u can always add things like lime or wood ash to bring the PH back up that shouldn’t hurt the microbes at all
