Hello fab fam!
Ive noticed the scobys going thick n wild on my both WCA brews. Other one is made with roasted eggshells and the other with chalk powder. And it grows so fast! Any ideas about this? Can it break down calcium so my brew is less potent? Vinegar is made from FPJ comfrey left overs. I have to say I like the chalk version more, since its missing the burnt smell and seems more clean. Amazing stuff anyways! I also made patch with spirit vinegar and limestone crumble, and it sure did have some spirit in it!
Love y’all!

yes this is the reason for using a non living vinegar when making Structure (WCAP) and Reproduction (WCA) the microbes in the living vinegar feed on the CA n P …when using homemade vinegars we want to pasteurize it first … just white vinegar can also be used when making Structure and Reproduction we are just looking for the acetic acid in vinegar to properly dissolve the CA n P into the solutionΒ Β …. i love the tests of using other sources of calcium that could be locally acquired and hearing good results KNF is all about giving us the knowledge of how to do it on our own with the things we have available around us
Happy Experimenting
