Hey y’all. I’m involved in a project to construct a new salt marsh here in Washington state.ย The salt marsh will be constructed with soils from uplands which will have a totally different fungal and microbial community.ย To help with the restoration and success of the project, I’m looking to apply the principles of KNF to attempt to boost the innoculation of the new salt marsh soils with those from a nearby reference (intact and establised) salt marsh.
I thought I’d tap into the hive mind to see if there are any thoughts on what variables or conditions I might need to change to make this successful.ย Given the size of the site and the limited access we’ll have, it seems like a JMS or liquid IMO type solution would be easiest to apply.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly apprecaited.ย Cheers!
